Summary of Research Activities: Concentrating on electronic properties of correlated electron systems, including high-temperature superconductors, magnetic (multi)layers, magnetic-superconductor perovskite layers, metal-insulator transition systems, and lower dimensional systems. Using synchrotron-radiation photoemission, femtosecond optics, and other electron or optical spectroscopies to characterize in situ-fabricated or cleaved samples. Acted as thesis advisor for five undergraduate students, nine graduate students, and supervisor of four postdoctoral researchers, to date.
